Air Conditioner / Propane Tank Drop-Off

Ley Creek Transfer Station
Saturday June 21
8 am - 12 noon

It’s free! Bring your old room air conditioner, dehumidifier, or propane tank to Ley Creek for proper disposal. Reservations are not required. The event is for household items only; business items will not be accepted.

The refrigerants extracted from the old air conditioners will be recycled and then the metal will be recovered for recycling. The recycling process properly manages greenhouse gases and also reduces the need for raw materials.

OCRRA, in conjunction with New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and Oneida Lake Energy Products, host this special environmental event. The purpose behind the event is to give people an outlet for responsible disposal (keeps the environment clean / keeps hazardous elements out of the trash) and make room for energy smart products that will use less energy (minimizes our environmental footprint on the earth).

* During OCRRA's Special Events at Ley Creek (Household Hazardous Waste and Propane/AC Days), Ley Creek does NOT accept trash or recyclables, it is only open to accept special event items.
